Transducer Engineer

Applied Physical Sciences Corp. (APS), located in Groton, CT, is seeking a full-time transducer engineer to support the design, manufacture, and testing of underwater acoustic receivers, projectors, and arrays that rely on traditional and advanced transduction principles.  The ideal candidate will have skills in some or all of the following disciplines: analytical design, finite element modeling, material properties categorization, preamplifier design, power amplifier design, and experimental techniques as they pertain to the development of acoustic transducers and arrays.  Job applicants will have an M.S. degree in a relevant scientific/engineering discipline, at least 5 years of directly related experience including applicable graduate studies, and must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.  APS is a qualified small business and an equal opportunity employer. Entry Level Electrical Engineer

Position: Full-time electrical engineer required for a wide range of technical responsibilities in design, simulation, and prototype fabrication/testing of special-purpose sonar, radar and sensor measurement systems.  Qualified candidates will have a strong background in mixed signal electronics theory and applications, wireless communications/telemetry system development, digital signal processing, and data acquisition.

Programming and circuit design experience using Matlab, C, and OrCAD are desired and embedded software and FPGA development experience are a plus.

The available position is at our corporate headquarters facility in Groton, CT.

BSEE required – recent graduates encouraged to apply. US citizenship required.
